Bambi

Bambi was surrendered into our care in very poor condition.

Bambi was a timid and very smelly little ball of matted fur.
Under her matted fur we could feel every bone in her tiny body.

Bambi's mouth could not open properly as her lower jaw was
partially attached to her chest by matted fur.  This made eating
difficult for Bambi and resulted in her being
so very skinny.

When Bambi walked it was more with a hop than a walk as her
back legs were fused together by matted fur.

Bambi had thick matted fur around her genitals resulting in urine
scalding on her inner legs and genital area.

After Bambi had ben groomed we discovered she had two
hernias - an umbilical and an inguinal (groin) hernia.
Both hernias were surgically repaired.

Bambi had a bindi burr embedded in her flesh which also
needed surgical removal, and her dew
claws were so long they had started to grow into her flesh.

Bambi was on a special diet to gain weight on her tiny frame.
She also needed to gain muscle tone in her rear legs so she could
walk properly.

Bambi has been adopted and sadly we have received no further
updates on her!

Below are some pics of Bambi being clipped, bathed and blow-dried.
She also had intestinal worm and flea treatment.
