Vinnie

This beautiful boy was only 11 weeks old puppy when he arrived at NSWAR in mid December 2007.  He was missing an ear, and the wound was fresh, swollen and infected.

The information we were given was that the missing ear had
been chewed off by a larger dog, however the cut was
amazing straight and not consistent with a dog attack.
A pair of scissors perhaps???

Vinnie does not realise that he is different - he is a normal, bouncy puppy.  He has normal hearing and is just like any other puppy in his behaviour and health.

Vinnie has been adopted!

On arrival at NSWAR,
the veterinary nurse on
duty named this very
scared little pup Vinnie.

The mutilated ear was swollen and infected.

Vinnie was examined on arrival at NSWAR
by the veterinarian
and given antibiotics
and analgesia.

Vinnie received regular veterinary care, and was rehabilitated
in the special needs area of NSWAR.

Vinnie is now a normal and playful puppy.

He has been desexed, vaccinated and
microchipped.

He is professionally
groomed on a
regular basis.
